Shenzhen Check-up Coordination: Two Appointments and a Report After Departure
Lucy supported the visit; Steven followed through on the report. See the separate bookings, historical costs and hospital bill.
A visitor to Shenzhen wanted a comprehensive health check-up and a separate traditional Chinese medicine consultation during the same trip. The arrangement involved Shenzhen Hospital, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (Longgang), English communication support and an electronic report after the visit. The practical work was to connect two bookings, keep additional hospital costs visible and complete the report handover after the visitor returned home.

Before arrival: two appointments, one workable sequence
The check-up and consultation had separate appointment arrangements. With the visitor’s agreement, the planned check-up start moved from 09:00 to 08:00 to fit an 11:30 consultation into the day. The consultation had its own booking confirmation, rather than being assumed to form part of the health check-up.
A shared communication group kept the visitor and support team up to date on the revised start time, appointment sequence and on-site questions. For another visit, the hospital would need to confirm its own schedule and preparation instructions.

On the day: Lucy supported the visit
Lucy helped with on-site coordination and joined the same-day follow-up exchange. After the appointments, the visitor acknowledged the support received. Lucy’s role was patient support; medical care remained with the hospital team.
Medicines and treatment generated additional hospital charges during the visit. These were separate from the original check-up, consultation and English-support arrangement.

What the historical arrangement cost
The team’s summary gives this historical breakdown of the original arrangement:
| Recorded item | Historical amount |
|---|---|
| Health check-up | US$280 |
| TCM consultation arrangement | US$20 |
| English support | US$180 |
| Total recorded arrangement | US$480 |
The US$480 is the historical amount recorded for the arrangement; payment of that total has not been verified. The summary does not itemise an additional coordination fee.
The additional hospital bill: CNY549 paid
A separate hospital medical receipt records CNY549 in personal payment for additions during the visit:
| Hospital receipt category | Paid amount |
|---|---|
| Medicines | CNY299 |
| Traditional Chinese medicine treatment | CNY238 |
| Additional treatment charge | CNY12 |
| Hospital receipt total | CNY549 |
The hospital receipt confirms the additional CNY549 payment. It is separate from the US$480 historical arrangement above. For your own visit, ask what the package includes and have any proposed additions explained and priced before agreeing to them.
For bookings now: AccessChinaMed services include complimentary English appointment accompaniment through 31 December 2026. The US$180 above belongs to this historical arrangement and is not the current accompaniment offer.

After returning home: Steven completed the report handover
Steven followed up on the English report after the visit. The visitor replied to him after returning home and confirmed receiving it. This completed the practical handover beyond the hospital appointment.
The hospital also provided a contact route for explaining the report. A later clinical review is not confirmed in this account. When planning your own visit, ask both how the report will reach you and how to arrange a clinician’s explanation of the findings.
Questions to carry into your own booking
- Are all services separately confirmed, with an agreed order and arrival time?
- Who is my on-site English support contact?
- What is included, and how are additional hospital charges approved?
- Who will send the report after departure, and how will receipt be confirmed?
