Guangzhou Dental Visit: From an Evening Enquiry to a CNY324 Hospital Bill

An evening enquiry, the right hospital entrance and an itemised CNY324 bill—follow the documented dental visit.

An evening enquiry in Guangzhou became a dental visit at Guangdong Clifford Hospital, also known as Qifu Hospital, the following morning. The visitor needed an appointment, help finding the correct department and a clearer idea of the cost. The case records show Steven’s coordination before arrival, the hospital contact’s entrance guidance and an actual hospital invoice for CNY324.

The evening enquiry: arrange an assessment first

Steven checked that the visitor was already in Guangzhou and available the next morning. The visitor had an existing dental X-ray, which was shared to help the dentist prepare for the assessment. When asked to interpret it that evening, Steven explained that the dentist would need to review it and discuss the available options.

The immediate task was therefore to arrange access to a dental assessment. The correspondence did not substitute the coordinator’s opinion for the dentist’s examination. The visitor was told that the findings and proposed next steps would be explained before a decision about treatment.

Booking details: the hospital name was not enough

Steven collected the registration information required by the hospital and checked the visitor’s preferred timing. The plan settled on arrival around 10:00 the following morning. A communication group connected the visitor with a contact from the hospital’s international medical department.

One useful correction happened before travel: the visitor had found the right hospital but the wrong department. The hospital contact clarified the meeting point as the north entrance on the ground floor of Building 1. On the morning of the visit, the visitor checked the location again and confirmed arrival at that building.

The entrance instructions belong to this past arrangement. For a new booking, confirm the current campus, department and meeting point rather than relying only on a map pin or the hospital’s main address.

Cost before the visit: a CNY300 consultation estimate

In the group conversation, the hospital contact quoted CNY300 for the consultation and explained that the dentist would determine the treatment plan after assessment. Steven’s earlier message said the medical fees could be paid at the hospital after examination and a treatment order, without an advance medical-fee payment for this arrangement.

That consultation figure was a pre-visit estimate with a stated scope. It should not be presented as a confirmed total for every treatment the visitor might need.

The hospital invoice: CNY324

The supplied electronic hospital invoice records the following charges and a CNY324 self-funded total:

Invoice categoryAmount
ExaminationCNY12
ConsultationCNY39
TreatmentCNY273
Hospital invoice totalCNY324

The invoice is the evidence for the recorded hospital bill; the earlier CNY300 message is evidence of an estimate. The documents do not separately establish any platform coordination or accompaniment charge, so this case does not assign an invented fee or call the entire arrangement free. The historic bill is also not a quotation for today’s dental package.

After the visit: a request for the X-ray copy

The visitor acknowledged the completed visit and requested an emailed copy of the X-ray. Steven said he would check with the hospital and follow up. The supplied case folder includes an X-ray PDF, but the conversation does not confirm that the requested email reached the visitor. The documented endpoint for that request is follow-up, not confirmed delivery.

What to confirm for your own dental appointment

  • Who confirms the appointment and the exact department entrance?
  • Which fee is only an estimate, and when will the treatment price be explained?
  • What do the hospital bill and any coordination charges each cover?
  • How will you receive any images or records afterwards?

Review dental coordination and current package inclusions, see how appointment coordination works, and plan report and image follow-up.
