Medical Care in Shanghai for Foreign Visitors

Plan a Shanghai medical appointment with a passport. Compare hospital routes, English support, package costs, registration and reports after departure.

Quick answer: Foreign visitors can enquire about health screening, specialist appointments, dental care, eye care and prescribed diagnostics in Shanghai. Start with the service you need and the dates you can attend. The provider confirms eligibility and availability; your written plan identifies the exact campus, department, examinations, English support, total and report handover. An enquiry does not reserve an appointment.

Screening time, payment and reports

Confirmed MyChinaCheckup packages include the listed tests and consumables, personal coordination, dedicated English-speaking accompaniment, the hospital-issued Chinese report and complete English translation. Routine packages usually take 2–3.5 hours on site. The report window is 3–5 working days after all listed examinations are completed.

Ordinary check-ups may be paid after arrival in China and before the first examination. A hospital-required advance payment is explained before confirmation. Extra consultations, imaging, treatment, medicines, transport and accommodation require a separate agreed scope and price.

For eye, dental, imaging and specialist services, confirm timing, records and payment terms separately. A screening package’s report schedule does not establish a pathology or treatment deadline.
