Shanghai’s official listing identifies gastroenterology, rheumatology, urology, cardiology, nephrology and general practice among its specialties. Department availability for a particular date requires confirmation.
Which campus should you attend?
Renji’s own international-service page lists the East location above, a West service on floor 4 of Building 6 at 145 Shandong Middle Road, and a South service on floor 3 of the outpatient building at 2000 Jiangyue Road. These are different arrival locations. Obtain the campus, building, floor and check-in point in writing.
For the Renji East package in the MyChinaCheckup catalogue, the package reference uses 160 Pujian Road. Do not substitute that address for the international-service entrance at 33 Beiyuan Road. Follow the meeting point on your confirmed appointment.

- Ask whether the requested specialist or examination can be arranged directly, or requires an initial consultation.

An English-speaking consultation, help at registration and a hospital-issued English report are separate requirements. Request each service you need; a published language list does not establish availability for every doctor or test.

The current MyChinaCheckup catalogue lists Renji East Men’s check-up 01 at US$480. AccessChinaMed’s US$316 starting reference is not this package’s current price. The complete named package list and your accepted quote determine scope.
Renji states that its international service accepts self-paying patients and has direct-payment agreements with some insurers. Confirm eligibility for your specific policy, any pre-authorisation and your own payment responsibility. An insurer’s presence in a directory does not confirm coverage for your visit.
Reports and follow-up
Before leaving, confirm when reports will be ready, who will explain results and whether another consultation is needed. If imaging is performed, ask about original DICOM files, download access and retention periods. Check English report availability separately from interpretation.
