Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital

Can international patients book Jiahui?

Yes. Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital has a dedicated International Office for patients coming from overseas. Its published services include pre-visit enquiries, language assistance, individualized cost estimates and help preparing medical reports. Contact that office to establish the route for your own visit, rather than assuming every service can be booked as a walk-in.

Which services and location should you choose?

The official sources describe health management, family medicine, orthopedics and sports medicine, surgery and other specialist services. For health screening or an unresolved medical concern, explain your goal and ask which department should assess it. A general check-up and a consultation for symptoms may require different appointments.

This page concerns the hospital on Guiping Road. Jiahui also operates other clinics, including locations in Jing’an and Yangpu. Check the location on your confirmation before reserving accommodation or arranging transport.

How to prepare and book

  • Contact the International Office with your main concern, travel dates and preferred language.
  • Ask which existing reports are useful and how to transfer them securely. If a scan is relevant, ask whether the clinician needs the original images as well as the report.
  • Confirm the doctor or service, location, date, first-visit documents and preparation instructions.
  • If combining screening with imaging or another consultation, obtain confirmation for each appointment and allow time for results.

Our short-visit planning guide covers the timing questions to settle before booking flights. Availability of MRI, CT, a particular protocol or same-day reporting for your requested visit must be checked directly; this page does not quote a fixed imaging package.

English support and the written estimate

English is included in the municipal service listing, and Jiahui describes multilingual assistance through its International Office. Specify whether you need English at the consultation, during examinations and in written documents. Ask what support is included in the quoted fee.

The hospital offers estimates tailored to the case. Request separate lines for the consultation, tests, medication and any optional assistance. Ask which items may change after the doctor’s assessment. AccessChinaMed’s published service prices are not Jiahui hospital tariffs.

Jiahui publishes insurance arrangements and describes assistance with international insurance. Obtain confirmation for your exact insurer, policy and planned service, including pre-authorization and your own contribution. Our insurance guide explains the questions to ask.

Reports and follow-up after the appointment

Report preparation is among the International Office’s listed services. Before you leave, agree on the report language, release date and delivery method. If imaging is performed, ask specifically about DICOM access and any expiry or collection requirements. Confirm who will explain abnormal findings and whether a further consultation is needed. A hospital-issued English report and a separate translation should be identified clearly.
