Editorial Policy and Sources

How AccessChinaMed verifies hospital information, explains prices, protects patient privacy and updates medical visit planning content.

Our purpose and limits

AccessChinaMed publishes practical information for international patients planning medical visits in China, initially focused on Shanghai. Content explains access, provider options, cost questions, language support, booking and follow-up. It does not replace an individual clinical assessment.

Sources and verification

For hospital facts, we prioritise the hospital’s official website, official public account and government or university sources. Hospital pages identify the source and review date where information has been verified. A government listing may describe an international department rather than the whole hospital. Availability, language support, prices and appointment rules still require confirmation for a particular visit.

Costs and commercial relationships

We distinguish hospital charges from coordination, interpretation and travel services. We publish fixed prices only with a verifiable scope and current validity. A directory listing or link does not imply a formal hospital partnership, endorsement or guaranteed appointment. We do not invent accreditations, expert credentials or review ratings.

Patient privacy and images

Patient stories, testimonials and identifiable photos require appropriate permission before publication. General guides do not describe invented patients as real cases. Illustrative imagery, including the second homepage banner, is not evidence of a patient encounter, a named team member or a hospital partnership.

Corrections and updates

The AccessChinaMed coordination team maintains these planning pages. Source review dates describe when a source was checked, not a guarantee that operational details will remain unchanged. If information appears wrong or outdated, email hello@accesschinamed.com with the page address and the correction or official source. Clinical questions should be directed to a qualified healthcare professional.

How we publish coordination stories

Our case collection is based on the coordination team’s appointment messages, schedules, package documents and report handover records. We publish operational summaries rather than diagnostic results. Names, contact information, identity numbers, exact travel dates, document identifiers and private access links are removed.

Historical quotes and individual invoices do not become current package prices. An arranged appointment time is not a measured procedure duration. A request for an X-ray copy is not proof that the file was delivered. We do not turn appreciative messages into invented star ratings or clinical success claims. Cases outside Shanghai are labelled with their actual cities.
